Education Liaison Officer (ELO)
The OP POM Team will work in conjunction with the ELO. The ELO can offer the following services:
¨ Support families to prepare for entry and transition into a new school setting and connect with school personnel in the new school.
¨ Organize an information package for the new school system.
¨ Support families to understand and access services for students with special needs and educational issues that may arise.
¨ Participate in school meetings.
¨ Review current school records.

Online French Training Available through the MFRC!!!
Military Spouses gather round! Hear the great news!!
MFSP has announced their plan to offer French Language Training to MFRC military spouses through online training.
The kickoff of this one year training opportunity starts now. You can learn French online in the comfort of your home.
The Meaford MFRC has received the licence to offer French Language training to ten spouses who are interested in this opportunity. You work at your own pace (though it is monitored to ensure that you are using it regularly) and you can do beginners right through to expert.
All you need is a home computer (windows or mac) with a basic operating system and a web browser. For more information and to take part in this training please call the MFRC and ask for Valerie.
Computer Requirements:
- Windows: XP Sp3, Vista Sp2 or Windows 7
- MAC: Tiger, Leopard or Snow Leopard (OS X 10.4.11 or higher)
- A web browser: Internet Explorer 6 or higher, Firefox 3 or higher, Safari 3 or higher.
With a few other small adjustments and with the USB Headset with microphone (which we provide) and you are ready to parlez Francois!!!!
