Did you know a community member who is experiencing a difficult time or personal crisis? Let the MFRC know and we can help. Not only can we provide information relevant to the situation, but we can provide tangible assistance.
Some examples would be if someone was sick or injured and needed help with housekeeping, lawn care, snow removal or grocery shopping - we can help! If someone has a tragic event and needs accomodations, clothing, household goods - we can help!

Operation Peace Of Mind (OP POM) Counselling Program
OP POM is a unique, free and confidential counselling program servicing Military families throughout Grey and Bruce counties.
The OP POM program is a partnership involving the Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC), LFCA TC Meaford, Integrated Personnel Support Centre (IPSC), Operational Stress Injury Social Support (OSISS), Bluewater District School Board (BWDSB), Bruce Grey Catholic District School Board (BGCDSB) and Keystone Child, Youth and Family Services (KCYFS).
The Program consists of an OP POM Supervisor, Social Worker, Child & Youth Worker, and a teacher Education Liaison Officer (ELO). **for more information on the ELO please see our education page**
Services Provided:
- Individual counselling for military members, their spouses and their children.
- Family counselling.
- Couple counselling.
- Groups for children that include topics such as anxiety, friends, stress management, behaviour management, grief and self esteem.
- Counselling for issues surrounding deployment and post deployment.
- In home support.
- Advocate for your child within the school system.
- Access to additional Keystone Services such as tele-psychiatry, parenting workshops, paediatrician clinics and Residence.
How Can You Make a Referral?
You can call Keystone intake department at 519-371-4773 or 1-800-567-2384 ext.180 All you have to do is let them know you are a Military family, answer a few questions and a social worker will be in contact with you to book an appointment.
Referrals can also be made through: MFRC, Family Liaison Officer (FLO), OSISS, IPSC and the ELO.
This process is free and confidential.
